They Meet
Mom and Dad have been together for 10 years. They were both divers for opposing college teams and had an instant connection when they first met. They started dating long distance until Mom transferred schools. They were able to compete together, graduate together and start the rest of their lives together.
It’s a Girl!
Dad and Mom had a gender reveal party where they found out at the same time as their guests. They already have a little boy and were good with either a boy or girl. They opened a giant box filled with balloons to find out. With the first baby, Mom had a feeling it was a boy and this time around she really had no idea…. so they opened the box and out popped pink balloons!! Mom and Dad were both so happy!!
Preparations
This pregnancy was crazy busy for Mom and Dad, so they didn’t have a lot of time to set up the nursery. When Mom found out at 35 1/2 weeks that she was being induced at 37 weeks, they went into beast mode and had to get everything done!! Nothing like the pressure of procrastination and moved up deadlines!
Mom’s Thoughts
So, I always imagined that if I had a little girl she would be blonde, but on our last ultrasound they told us she had a head full of hair. Because most blonde babies are born with almost no hair and peach fuzz, that’s when I knew she’d have dark hair like her daddy. She’s so beautiful!!
The first dew days home have been amazing!! Her big brother loves her and is already so protective! She brings balance. So far she’s mellow and bringing all of us so much joy!
