meghan-vail-photography_1798meghan-vail-photography_1799Gender reveal parties have been pretty big the past few years and I have been to them and thrown them for others. When it came down to our own baby, we decided to go to our favorite restaurant which is Enzo’s On The Lake with both sets of parents (now grandparents) and reveal it that way. The doctor put the results in an envelope and we didn’t peek before that night. When it was time to do the honors, I handed over the envelope to my dad to read it. When he opened it, he sat back and then proceeded to put his glasses on. I guess it was a sonogram photo and he couldn’t find the word boy or girl. Several moments passed, which felt like forever, and finally my mom asked if she could help. He handed her the photo and she had to borrow his glasses because she couldn’t see. Meanwhile my husband and I are eagerly waiting across the table. My mom got up to see in better light. She still couldn’t figure it out. She said she knows what the pictures shows but wants it in writing before she rattles off the gender. Then my mother-in-law got involved and they got their phone out for more light. At this point we are just about to snag the dang photo and see for ourselves, but then my mom found the word. She handed the photo to my dad, pointed to the word, he still couldn’t see it. She whispered it in his ear and he looked up and said “it’s a boy!”
Pheeeeeew!  Finally it’s out!
We celebrated the rest of the night.meghan-vail-photography_1798meghan-vail-photography_1800meghan-vail-photography_1801meghan-vail-photography_1802meghan-vail-photography_1803
