They met way back when
Mom and Dad met in high school, so I guess you could say they were “high school sweet-hearts.” They started off as friends and throughout the years dated off and on. After college they both moved back to Orlando and were dating exclusively. A together they dated off and on for ten years before they were married!
It’s a… twins?!
Mom and Dad decided to do a gender reveal with their families on Christmas Day. At the 20 week sonogram they had the technician put the gender in an envelope so that they would be surprised as well. Mom gave the envelope to her mom and sister to set up the big reveal. She told them, they could look inside if they wanted, but if they wanted to be surprised as well they could just give the balloon store instructions on what color balloons to place in the box. The suspense was killing them so they had to peek inside!
On Christmas Day Mom and Dad opened a big box that had both BLUE and PINK balloons inside. They were very confused, because they knew they were not having twins! At the bottom of the box there was one big balloon with a BLUE bear inside! That’s how they found our they were having a BOY! Grandma couldn’t help laughing. She definitely made it a memorable gender reveal!
Just call him Mr. Early
On the day Maddox was born he still didn’t have a name. He decided to arrive three weeks early, so Mom and Dad had thought they’d have a little more time to decide. About 12 hours after his birth they narrowed down the list from about five potential names to Maddox Britt. His middle name is Mom’s maiden name for family significance.
