Mom and Dad meet
My husband and I first met on our co-ed soccer team. He was really good at soccer and I also thought he was very good looking so I was intrigued right away. I told my sister, who was also on the team, that I was going to date him but I just needed him to see me off the soccer field where I was always sweaty and not looking my best. So one day I ran into him at a sports bar. We were both watching March Madness and the rest is history. We’ve been together ever since. It’s been almost 7 years since that day.
Daddy gets his little princess
We found out we were having a girl by going to one of those early gender reveal ultrasounds. I would have been happy either was but Colin REALLY wanted a girl. When the technician revealed that we were having a girl we were both thrilled! Colin had teared up and it was the sweetest thing! I just loved how much he wanted a little girl! He is such a great dad to our baby girl and I am so happy I could give him his princess!!
A girl names Lennon
I’ve liked the name Lennon for a year or two now. Before I got pregnant I had thought this would be my name for a girl. I first heard it as a young country artist’s first name and then, of course, there’s John Lennon (I am a Beatles fan but that is not the reasoning behind her name). It’s not a common name and explaining it to people and having to repeat it everytime I told someone made me second guess my choice. Parker was also on our list for girl names. That was my husbands favorite. But Lennon grew on him and I knew in my heart that was my baby girl’s name. We are both so happy we chose it for her!
