Finally Expecting!
Mom and Dad went through a lot trying to getting pregnant. Over the last three years they’ve gone through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) five times. With all of the emotions they’ve gone through, Mom and Dad are so excited to have little Beau and say that it was all worth it.
When Mom took the pregnancy test and it was positive, she couldn’t wait to tell Dad! He was working at the fire station and mom Facetimed him. When she called, she had a big smile on her face saying “I just took a test”, and then showed Dad the reading on the pregnancy test. They both were overjoyed with emotion, and then the moment was interrupted by Dad having to leave for an emergency call!
The Name
While wanting to stay with their southern roots they also wanted to use a family name. Beau is the nickname that was used for his grandfather when he was a child. Beau’s middle name, William, is in several of the great grandfathers’ names.
Beau has arrived
When Beau arrived, he was smaller than Mom and Dad had expected, granted he was 3 weeks early. Both Mom and Dad were over 9lbs when they were born, so they were expecting to have a big baby. When he came out and they held him for the first time, he was so small in their arms. This also made for a fun time because they didn’t have clothes small enough to fit him! Beau looked like he was swimming in the outfit they brought to take him home in.
His first night home Beau slept for almost 6 hours at one stretch. Both parents woke up in a panic when they realized what had happened. Needless to say he has not done that since, and they enjoy the sleepless nights that he gives them.
